Subject: Stoopid 'TPS' Question IP: Logged
Message: Okay, I'll swallow my pride and ask a stooopid question. I have been doing alot of mods on my truck and I am very mechanically oriented as I have had numerous hot-rods in the past (muscle cars)....but what the heck are you guys talking about when you say that you have 'TPS@0.76V from 0.51V'? If it means more ponies or lbs torque, I wanna do it too!
Thanks

Message: Go check out www.speadtweaks.net and look at the 'Tips and Tricks' section. There is a place for 'TPS voltage adjustment' there. It's free, you just need some washers, a drill, and a digital voltmeter. Mine was already set at .767 from the factory, so I didn't change it. All it really does is improve throttle response, which is cool! No real power increase.

Message: Even if yours is already adjusted can't you still drill out the brass inserts and it'll still have better response?

Message: I think drilling out the inserts is only so you can get a little 'play' to adjust the voltage with. If it's good, don't mess with it :0)
