Message: Anybody know of the best repair manual for an '01 Dakota? There aren't many out yet. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but I'd still feel safer with a good guide. Dan had mentioned the factory service manual, any other input on this?

Message: have the factory service manual 02. It is ok, has ALL the enigines, 2.5, 3.9, 5.2, 4.7, 5.9...
It is a pretty good book, but does not cover basic mechanics on always what tool or EXACLY how to do something, just where it is and how to replace it/fix it. So some mechanical knowledge is required. For me, it's worked quite well so far when I want to know something.
Overall, if you don't know anything about how vehicles or modern combustion engines work, this is not the book for you. Otherwise, it's great!
