Message: I've got one on my 4.7. Very similiar to the Z-tube.
I'm not sure they make one for your engine,,?
But I noticed a definate low-end gain - Mucho difficult to launch now. And the sound from the motor is awesome. I would highly recommend it, if they have one for your motor that is.

Message: CThomp- I know that these filters (K&N) work better w/a little dirt. But do you notice yours getting pretty filthy relatively quick too?

Message: I've actually only had it on since last friday. What I found that was weird was that my truck came with no rubber flap. That worried me more than anything else. CW reassured me that it wasn't really an issue though. Livin in south florida it rains constantly in the summer. Some cable was in the way of the filter when I installed it so I'm gonna have to make a few adjustments.

Message: I went w/the 360airintakez becuase it was in two pieces over the Z-Tube. I heard of a lot of clearance issues. At least our is flexible - to a point.

Message: This is true. I wish it had a heat shield though. I'm gonna have to work on that. Ever since I got mine my imagination has been kickin in and i've been designing new and different intakes in my head. I need to stop. I spent some money on my truck now i've got to spend a little on my condo.

Message: The best air intake by far. Easy to install, the only thing goofy is that you have to sligthly move the cruise control soleniod bracket. Just remove the existing nut, lift it of the bolt and re-screw it into a hole that is already in your fender (atleast with the 4.7L). My truck dyno'd 15 hp over stock.

Message: Dr.Dakota- ???? I didn't run into this problem on my '01 4.7L. But hey..maybe yours was made on a Monday!
Also,,when you dynoed your truck was that from purely stock form?
I would say my gains were in that nieghborhood too.

Message: 4.7L intakes homebrew style. May not look as good as metal but also does not pass as much heat as metal to the air inside the tube. We use a filter larger than some others.

Message: I've owned two 360airintakez for my R/T... The first revision (now on a co-worker's R/T), and the new one with the heat shield. Awesome looks, definitely boosted performance as well. I was able to meet Joe since we both live in Las Vegas and watched him hand-craft the intake that's now on my truck, he puts a lot of time and effort into each one.

The replacing the bracket was not something I had to do, it just made it cleaner and left it so the filter wasn't touching anything. The tolerance was so close that I would almost expect that some Daks wouldn't need the move at all.
As far as the dyno, I guess I left out a little: the contribution from the 360 was infact 15 hp (when the IAT Adjuster was turned off), When it is turned 'on' and 'tuned' right it adds another 10 hp and I have the rubber flap removed and I installed a homebrew deflector that keeps the hot radiator air from blowing on that huge K&N filter (its actually kinda cool, its made out of two liscense plates). I also ported out my 68mm throttle body, but from what I understand the porting only helps my low-end throttle response, not Hp or Torque. I also have a flowmaster muffler and 3" pipe, so it maximizes all the other mods.....my total Hp is 260@4250 rpm, torque 310 at 3000 rpm (I think it was 3000 rpm, I forget, gotta find those papers).
