I had a 56 Thundervird that has the twin Paxtons with the air box arround the front draft Holly It ran fine with no tuning problems. that I remember as I was quite young then So guys what is the call I have the 4.7 Dak and only Paxton and KB make one for the engine

Message: I've never driven with the Paxton, but I remember someone making something over 300 hp at the wheels with the Paxton, dual exhaust and a fuel/timing controller from split second. The KB will give you lots of torque and might be better if you have an automatic trans. Depends on what you want. Either way, you'll be making a lot of power, so enjoy.

Message: I looked up prices for superchargers applicable to my truck (01, 4.7L) and i just can't see spending that amount at the moment. I want to do some upgrades that will still help when i do decide to drop the cash. You all seem knowledgeable what would be my cheapest quickest upgrades?

Message: You could get the KB flash, HO cams, GSmotorsports dual exhaust, a bigger throttle body, a good cold air intake. If you do a lot of mods, I would recommend getting the Paxton if you eventually decide to get a supercharger.

Message: I think that saving up and buying a S/C or stroker kit is the best way to go first. Then go with little mods from there. The reson being is that you spend 300-400 here and ther and by the time you add up all of the little mods you could have already gotten a S/C. Anyways, I have the Kenne Bell on my CC 5.9 and I wish I would have done stuff different. I wouldn't have bought the K&N FIPK Gen II or the Superchip 3715 because I had to remove it anyway to install the S/C. But I did install iridium spark plugs and 8mm wires. I wish I would have done head gaskets and the intake manifold (S/C has to be removed to get it off) because the M1 sits at the same height as the stock (to fit the S/C manifold). K/B says not to have you PCM flashed with there Optimizer installed, but I had to flash mine with the Superchip to get the speed limiter off (because I drive everywhere over 115 :P ). I have not experienced any pinging at all.
I was also wondering if anyone has installed a fastman (or any other) throttle body and if it helped for their S/C Dak?
