Message: For you 4.7 guys instead of removing the one in the intake, just buy another one for less than 10 bucks and put that in your intake tube. That way if you have to go through smog check like I do, you can hook the old one back up. Just my $0.02. Got any change?

Message: Did somebody relocate their IAT inside the cab and blast the AC.That's a real cold air. Or install a flex pipe from the AC vent and mount the other end in front of the K&N cone air filter.
What do you think about this?

Message: The IAT sensor costs like $5...I purchased mine from Metro Dodge in Snellville, GA...
Moving it to a colder more direct airflow area of the truck would definitely net you some more power (especially over my setup, which had the sensor on the intake manifold itself).
Your other option would be to build the IAT adjuster and trick it into thinking it is colder than it actually is.

Message: Here's a cool idea... Does anyone know if it would work to leave the factory IAT in it's original place, install a second one in the cold air intake tube, then put a switch in the dash to switch between the two AIT's on the fly? If it works, this would be an AWESOME application if you're setting at a stop light and a ricer pulls up and wants to play. hehe

Message: Relocating the IAT sensor to a colder climate merely richens the air/fuel mixture. Granted, you get a bit more power that way, but soon your tailpipe, and O2 sensors, and catalytic converter will be coated with a fine layer of soot. It's from unburned hydrocarbons, and is electrically conductive - not a good thing for the O2 sensors.
