Subject: 4.7 quieter than 5.2? IP: Logged
Message: I just got a 40 series flowmaster exhaust installed on my truck today complete with megaphone tips. I had the same system installed on my old ram done by the same guys and it was alot louder than my quad. Is it the engine thats making the difference or those da_n 3 cats that are on my quad?

Message: What's with having 3 cats? Can one or two be removed without any negative effects?

Message: You can remove the main cat. It is just before the muffler. Helps power throughout the RPM range. Sounds much better without.
