well if u do it right you can take the wiring harness and comp from a junk yard to make the bigger mill run u cant run 8 injectors off a comp that was set up for 6. as far as the trans goes i think u should have a A500 and i dont think that will hold up to the power simple man i think ur best bet if its an 4by2 to find an rt (good luck) in a junk yard from like a roll over and get the whole drivetrain if 4by4 maybe the mill-trans-transfer out of a half ton would set u up good

Now for my ? does anyone think it posible to stuff a 6bt in a regcab- shortbed 5 speed 93 dak its a 4by4 and the last time it was whighed it hit the scales at 3378.7 (our local dump is a very good scale lol) i got new cross members and doubled the front frame half of the frame i personally think it would work with a tourch and welder lol and i would want the 6 speed to put in there to

Ok back in April had the number 6 cylinder supposivly break on the 2004 5.7 hemi engine. at 71000 miles. Luckly had an extended warrenty. Had a used engine put in with 40k miles on it. Dodge used my parts of the blown engine and 5 1/2 months later i have another #6 piston break. this engine had only got 6078 miles put on it. Have not heard if dodge is going to except resbonsability for it yet but the engine builder is saying that you can not use an old intake off a blown engine because of the metal that would go into the intake when ran on the new engine this would result in another blown engine. Does this make since to anyone else or am i just looking for answers in the wrong area. a fresh rebuild should not blow in 6078 miles and then for the exact same piston and reason the last one did. ANYONE HAVE A RESONABLE EXPLINATION OR AM I ON THE RIGHT TRACK HERE AND DODGE USING THE OLD INTAKE MANIFOLD THE REASON IT BLEW THIS ENGINE

Dropped valves EPIDEMIC!!!!
IP: Logged

Message:
Evidently Dodge does have a major problem with dropped valves. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram with 5.7 Hemi with all bells and whistles that hit 107,000 miles on it and dropped a valve!! Talking to my mechanic, Dodge has a problem with this, fully aware of it and remains to keep the hush hush on it. I have always been a Chevy guy, but could not resist the looks and sounds of this truck. Since I got it: replaced rear end and driveshaft, ABS pump went out, dash cracked and now, dropped valve. With all of the problems with Dodges.....maybe the parts are worth more than the truck whole.....
