Message: Let me know how hard they are to install and if its tough getting the driver's side valve cover on and off...heard that was a b!tch to get off w/ all the hoses and wires. Also let me know if u had to adjust the valves...it says to do that in the instructions but I've never done that before.

Message: I figured out what the square plastic parts where, they go in between the prong like things to guide the pushrod. Well, I got half the side almost done, and just a minute ago I recieved my Gibson headers, Man they look awesome! I glad to see that the pipes are the same lenght, unlike the picture! Well, it was sunny and around 60-70 yesterday, now it's snowing Argggg!

Message: Well, I got all the rockers adjusted and both stock valve covers on with only a few bolts. I'll have to install the rest of the valve bolts today after work. I need some MP valve covers now, the ones I had order from Jegs are on backorder. Anyone know of someone with MP covers in stock?
Adjusting the rockers are a pain at first, plus not having any instructions or experience with lock tie Allen type. They seem quite now and seem to be running good at idle and with some throttle.
I had to bash the baffles down with a jack stand using the rod part :) it Worked good, the hammer sucked. Bad part is the oil cap hole is covered up now, but removing the baffles seem impossible without making holes in the covers.
On the scale of 1-10 removing both the both valve covers was only a 3 for passengers and 4 for the drivers. Not a problem on the 2001+ The brake booster is not even a problem while using a torque wrench or removing the covers.
I'll install the Gibson headers later this week, I want to see what effects each item has on performance.

Did you use the lock thread stuff? How did you install the studs. The two nuts did work that well, was I suppose to use one nut then the cap nut to screw the studs in? Maybe I should go back and make sure all the studs are torque enough.

Message: the lock nuts that came with the kit didnt work good for me. i went to the store and got some nuts that fit the studs and they work way better.
i used the lock tite. if you used it also, and try to re-torque you will get a faulse reading
did you make sure the cylender you were working on was a TDC when installing the rockers?
let me know how far you are, and if you need any help.
Eric
