I have had a tubolator on my 1989 civic for 80,000 miles! I drive 12,000 a year.
I have noticed that this exhaust tip has some merrit, as it appears to help with some low end pick up, and improved mpg. I bought mine at Midas Muffler at the time and they were $100.00 not that cheap back then :-(
However, the www.performancepeddler.com price for $40 is a great deal for anyone that might want to see and feel the improved performance for themselves.
To date, I have 189k on the vehicle and it gets 35-40 mpg and 30 mpg in town stop and go, and the turbolator is still on the car. Gas prices range from $3.09 to $3.17 in my area of Washington State, so even a tailwind is a blessing!
I'd eat beans if I could burn that gas in my car.

I also advocate K&N replacement air filters over stock units as a good start for saving $ on gas and for some added performance too.

Cheers.
