i just figured out i have 8.25 rear axile gears any body know how much some 3.92 gears cost and are the ones from chrystler wort a dam as far as problems, also are they hard to change

The Dodge gears are strong but if you are going to replace them go with a "Richmond" set . If you dond have a LS go with a a "Dana" trac lock ,the same as stock.If you have a 3.55 now you might want to go to a 4.10 , a 4.30 or a 4.56 might be a bit high. Dodge made this rear end easy to set-up ,get a shop manual and a one $20 special tool ,(to turn the adjusters to set backlash and preload berings ) and your good to go.

While you're down there, put some Red Line Synth. in there! This summer I've been considering some 4.11s from my 3.92s, but my RPM is already kinda high.
