Subject: Transmission Cooler? IP: Logged
Message: I bought a used 00 Dakota Sport CC V8 4.7L. There appears to be a smaller looking radiator grille located in front of the actual radiator.
Im not sure if it is the "transmission cooler" or not.
Does anyone know about this?
Thank you in advance for your response.

Message: My 2001 5.9 has a small "radiator" in front of the main radiator which is the transmission cooler.
Follow the intake/outflow lines from yours (underneath the truck) and see if they go to the transmission.
