Message: What did you do? Put a blower on it? Why don't you put an M1 2bbl intake on it? No plenum gasket = problem solved.
P.S. Spend the money on the truck. The house can wait. :-)

Message: Cute, Mark! I have heard of crate motor but you have a crate manifold. Hehe.
Dakchick, who is doing the work for you? Dealership or Jody and friends? If you guys are doing it then I can tell you how to do it right. If dealership is doing it then you just have to keep bringing it back.

Message: Dealership is doing it, but I don't know if they'll warranty it after this fourth time...so Jody might be getting with you on how to fix this thing for good.

Message: They should fix it until they get it right no matter the miles. If the problem exists as a warranty item then it still is covered after the warranty runs out (with in reason of course). We will be glad to show Jody how to do it so you won't have any more problems with it if it comes down to that.

Message: I agree with Wayne. The M1 2bbl. intake manifold is the way to go. The one piece construction means no stupid gasket to worry about.
I know that there is a huge back order at Chrysler for the manifold, but there are a few places like Speedtweaks that can still get 'em, and I am seriously considering biting the bullet at the poor exchange rate (CDN to USD) so I can fix the plenum pan gasket for good.

Message: Bring it back to the dealer and b!tch about it. Maybe you can talk them into installing the M1 2BBl instead of the stock manifold. Ask to speak to the manager, tell them 3 times is enough and you don't want a 4th. Then just pay the cost of the manifold. They can pay for the gaskets (they need them either way) and they can eat the labor (once again they'd have to either way)

Message: After removing the manifold and removing the plenum from it, rough up the metal sealing surfaces that contact the gasket. Some say to use a small center punch and hammer to stipple the surfaces. This was too slow for me so I used course sand paper. (Clean out any metal shavings.)You can use a product called "The Right Stuff" or the red Mr. Gasket silicon sealer on these surfaces. The roughend up surfaces will help hold the sealer. Put it on both the manifold and plenum surfaces. I still use the gasket even with the sealer. Put it back together. By the time you get the manifold installed, the sealer should be dry enough. Hope this helps.

Message: Look into Hughes Engine (http://www.hughesengines.com). They have modified beer keg intake manifolds (for V6 and V8) and I'm positive I read on their website that they "weld" the plenum pan to the intake. No gasket to worry about. It is rather pricey, but with no gasket then that should put your mind at ease.
I was going to suggest the M1, but unfortunately the M1 isn't available for the 3.9L
