Subject: Spark plug test on a 4.7 IP: Logged
Message: Has anyone done a spark plug test on the 4.7l?
I know everyone here says to use the 39, but has anyone tried the different Plat., and titanium, and such. I think Bernd is trying an iridium (think I miss-spelled that). Just looking out for the most HP for the buck, before the fist plug change. I am coming up on 13k, so no hurry.

Message: I am using Splitfires and have noticed a much better idle and throttle response. MPG has remained unchanged though, I will be playing around with different plug gaps when it warms up some to find optimum gap.

Message: It's on my profile page, 01 4.7 CC 4x4, same as you with two less doors:). I installed the splitfires with only 6K on my truck, have 10K now with no degradation of smooth idle or throttle response, worth the $40 IMO.
