Message: I have a 2001 dak quad cab and am about to add a trans temp gauge. I don't want to drill into the oil pan so have bought the fittings neccessary to tap into the trans cooler line. The trans has an in line and an out line but I cant tell which is which. one line comes out at the front of the trans and one line comes out at the back. any body which line is the out line that goes to the cooler?

Message: If it is a 3.9 or 5.9. It is the line that comes out of the front of the trans.

Message: I am not sure on the 45rfe haven't had much to do with them yet. Probably the front one. Trace the trans line back from the bottom rad line and see what one it hooks to on the trans. (front or rear)
