Message: Just wanted to add my 2 cents to this. Flow numbers don't mean sh*t. If you took the ten best mufflers and dyno'd them all there would be less than 5 HP difference between them. Who here can feel 5 or even 10 horse difference in a 4000lb truck. "this one felt better" " that one pulled harder" bullsh*t.
There is no industrie standard for measuring exhuast #s even if their was would it make a difference on a 275 HP motor NO
You can take a cylinder head thats been heavily ported and get awsome flow numbers on a flow bench
but that same head can be miserable at making power. why not put 6 inch exhaust on a 4 clyinder truck, it wouldn't restrict the flow at all. Velocity is more important.
