Check it out,,,1 hr ago,,installed brand freak'n new westin push bar (THANK YOU GOD). 15 min.s ago,,,I decide to become more involved in my 15 yr. old bro's life,,and decide to let him 'kick it on in' the drive way. Doing good--- then we eat the FREAK'N CLOSED GATE! FREAK'N CLOSED GATE!!!!(incase you can't tell I'm also yelling as I'm typing.) The push bar saved the bumper, but it's sitting abit offset now (I'm thinking it's just the brakets.) But the damn gate fell on my hood, and left a big ass dent w/no paint.
Not trying to better your story CThomp,,or even compare.....But I could eat his SOUL right now!!!
On the lighter side.....I'll either have the hood repaired / replaced OEM / replaced with a sweet after market hood.
Can anyone help a devoted Dakota owner, recent college grad. find a new hood at a sweet price????
01' 4.7 auto 3.55 CC Graphite (except front left hood).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah get one of the new ram air hoods. Took my Dak to the collision repair place some hours ago. About cryed being away from it. Man I love that truck. Yeah I am glad I wasn't hurt. The lady that hit me was drivin some junky ford. At least it wasn't an excursion. I'd probably be writting this from a hospital bedroom. Gonna be driven a VW bug (one of the new ones) for the next couple of weeks. My girlfriends uncle is loning it to me. I'm gonna feel weird drivin that thing. You should have seen that damage she did to the rim. Unbelieveable!! Almost ripped through the tire. I'm just glad I didn't have my new rims on there yet. I would have gone ballistic.

New rims are already payed for. Besides that...whether or not she even has insurance is still up in the air. She wasn't driving her car. She had no proof of insurance..and the car wasn't registered. hooky I know. I'm lettin the insurance company handle it. I'll hopefully find out the extent of the damage tomorrow. I'm still hoping there was no suspension or frame damage. The truck only looks as if some on hit it while backing out of a parking space...but really hard. But I fear the truck may not drive right if the suspension or frame is damaged in any way. I may just be paranoid though. We'll see.
