I am trying to figure out what type of roller rockers to go with on an 01 5.9 qc. I am leaning towards comp cams aluminum or crowers. Having difficulty figuring out what ratio to choose 1.6 or 1.7. any one done this mod yet? What is the stock ratio?

The stock ratio is 1.6 if you are not going to swap the cam then get the 1.7 rockers. If you are going to get a perf cam then go with the 1.6 rockers. About 20hp on the 1.7 and stock cam.

why can't you use the 1.7's with a mild cam?

You can with a mild cam like mopar performance one. Just most cam manufacturers suggest using a stock ratio rocker. One thing I have learned is that not to argue with the cam manufacturer. 1.7 ratio makes the cam even bigger than it is originaly designed.

i have the 1.7 rockers and they kick ass! instead of the power droping off at about 4000 rpm, it pulls hard at 3000 and even harder at 4000 up untill it hits the revlimiter at 5200
