I bought a 2000 Tundra after trading in my '94 Dakota after an engine rebuild at 73k, a blown transmission at 78k and about $3000 worth of various electrical blow-ups over the 5 years I had it. Now that I own a Toyota, I swear I'll never go back to one of the big 3!

By the way... I don't consider myself bland... I just don't feel the need to compensate for anything else by being closed-minded about what type of vehicle I drive! I don't get it... Just what does driving like an idiot prove??? Doesn't impress me any!!!

i own a 99 dakota 318 5.2 4x4 CC and i drive the crap out of it i take it mudding, hill climbs, and i have raced it with my buddies from work. it has 100k miles has made a few trips from Oregon to texas hauled trailers up and down the I-5, up the grapevine and down. then up MT ashland and back down. i have had no no major problems. just a cat, fuel pump, water pump(that was replaced with no probs because of regular maint checks)

point being i have always done regular maint wether it was myself most of the time or a shop. call this a coenidence? i think not thats just me thinking next weekend im changing my thermostate a little late but i havent noticed it start to run warm and last time i checked it opened up but im not gonna wait no longer. anyone else just seem to have my dumb luck and check there stuff regularly??
