Message: I did some research, and found that in the front grill of the dakota there is room for another intake in front of the battery area, this is what i did, I ran 2 3" pvc pipes w/90 degree elbows into my original hat w/ no filter,
I went to a tractor shop and located (2) 3" dia.
but overall they are 5"x7" w/3"inch filter (tall)
free flowing air intake filters for the 6 cylider tractor motors w/ down draft carbs.
I had a friend bench test these for air flow and they can pull over 930cfm with no restrictions.
so I had an overall increase in 19.5 hp at the rear tires and a 2.5% increase in milage.
plus it looks great..... just some advice from someone whom wanted to try something different.

Problem is, this is meaningless, since you can't pull that much air through the throttle body.

That's less than 1/2 mpg increase, which again is insignificant and within normal variation. But good luck with that.
