Subject: 5.2L Cam and Rockers IP: Logged
Message: Trying to match a good cam with the MOPAR 1.7 roller rockers in my 98 dakota 5.2L. Any suggestions on what a decent size cam ( not to radical ) to increase Torque would be? I have the 2bbl intake and rockers sitting in the garage waiting to be installed, but I want the cam and timing chain done at the same time. Please help me. Thanks in advance,
By the way,

Message: Go with a custom grind cam. I have one from Crower. Excellent cam. It's in a 98 5.2. Tell him with you have done to your motor along with everything else and he'll grind the perfect cam for your truck. If you need any more info e-mail me. vack32@charter.net

Message: Make sure you have the cam ground on a 114 Lobe Seperation. The 112 can cause slight issues with the MAP sensor without some "tweaking".
