Subject: Look out for modded F150s IP: Logged
Message: Just got home from running some errands and I had a run in with a late model Ford F150 Regular Cab. This truck sounded exactly like a Mustang (he had Flowmasters), and he was driving agressively, so sure enough, I raced him until about 50 (in the city) twice. This guy, with passenger, was side by side with me until 50 and I couldn't lose him until having to cut the speed back down on my 00' CC 2wd 4.7 auto (15.74 @ 86.9). I asked him what kind of engine he had in it and he said it was the 4.6 liter. The only thing I can figure is that he must have dumped a bunch of high-po Mustang 4.6 parts into it to get it to run that fast. It's strange, because his truck has roughly the same hp (230), but the engine is slightly smaller than mine pulling a full-size truck. I assume he had alot of bolt-ons in order for that truck to run, though I'll never know because he didn't want to say. His truck sounded just like the late-model mustangs with Flowmasters though, which I thought was cool. The good news is that though he ran WITH me, he couldn't beat me, and we never got enough room to really go at it....
