i'm looking into purchasing either the taylor vertex spiro-pro 8mm wires or the jba 8mm wires. i have a 99 3.9L 5spd and do not plan on upgrading my ignition. without an MSD or Accel ignition will the 8mm wires be worth the $50?

Yes they will be. I paid almost $60 for my MSD wires and dont have an ignition system. I say if you must replace them, do it with the best ones you can afford. Dont just replace, upgrade.
