Subject: bernd need some help here! IP: Logged
Message: Bernd,
I just recently installed new head gaskets and a Vortech T-trim supercharger. I'm running a custom grind cam from Crower with 112 degrees serperation. The truck ran great with the cam before I put the blower and new headgaskets on it. Since i put the blower on it I'm having trouble keeping the truck running. It'll start fine and rev up great, but once i put it in gear and put as load on the trans it hesitate before moving. Once I come to a stop the truck once to die. I put it in nuetral and rev it alittle it bogs real bad then starts to pick back up like normal. Then I try to move again it dies. I have the Vortech FMU, mopar pcm, 24 lb injectors, crower cam, lifter, pushrods, crane roller rocker, poerted intake and tb. Viper stall conver and transgo shift kit. full msd ignition. AutoLite plugs. Its a 318. And ported heads. Plz help! Thanks

Message: ahhhhhhhhhh young grasshoppa.... here is something you may wanna try... and the best part is you can do it yourself and buy all the parts at a local store for about 10 to 15 bucks.... it's called a map/ boost bypass valve, your map sensor is probably freaking out right now because it is not reading correctly with the boost being added to the engine go to www.speedtweaks.net and look up how to build a map/ boost bypass setup.... i can't guarantee that this will work but it should and it's something you should do anyways to prevent the engine from running lean due to a map sensor reading falsely

Message: Grasshopper Jay,
I don't see anything like that on speedtweaks.net. I look under tips and tricks. I didn't see the first think. Where did you see this map/boost bypass valve? If you can let me know how to make it or give me a evact address to that webpage. Thanks

Message: Ahhhhhhh yes I almost forgot. I have a Vortech maxflow race bypass valve with the blower. I'll try to reroute my map sensor line and see if that does anything. I see a post on one of speedtweaks forums where they talk about a supercharged truck back fire due to the valve not opening. Mine stays open till WOT then the valve closes. When it goes over desired boost the spring loaded valve open and lets excess boost out. So I know I don't have a bypass vavle problem. I'll try the map sensor thing and see what happens. If it doesn't help I'll clean my IAC see if that helps. I don't know why I would though. My TB is only 4 months old. I'll give anything a shot to get it running. Thanks

Message: ok here it is ....... go to www.speedtweaks.net scroll down on the left to the engine controllers section..... in the pop up box click on speedtweaks ( there will be 3 choices speedtweaks being the first ) when it opens it will say map/ boost bypass ...free so it also has pictures too so read it through and see what you come up with but relocating your map vacuum probably will not work,, now if your truck was N/A with that cam then it would work but relocating your map vacuum to manifold vacuum only works if your running a cam that is 108 to 110 and yours is 112 which is a map friendly cam..... so build the map/boost bypass valve and you'll be ok ( hopefully ) but on any supercharged magnum it's not a bad idea to do this anyways to prevent it from going lean..... if after looking you cannot find it still then i will gladly e-mail it to you just let me know how you make out ....
the force is strong with you luke, now go.... and seek out the powers of the darkside.... puff... puff.... pass.... cough..... cough.... WOW that was great.
