Alright, i realize i am now disclosing my ignorance to all this stuff, but hey, im new to it. i finally graduated from college, got a job, got a Dak (love it!!), and now that i have a little cash......the performance bug has bitten me in the rear end! but, b/c i am new i have a lot of questions....so forgive me if some of them are a little elementary:

what is an IAT adjuster...what does it do, what can i expect?

what exactly do these traction bars do...are they hard to install?

is the airaid worth the money?

thanks for taking time to get me up to speed (pun intended)

I believe the IAT does something to the effect of enabling your vehicle to maintain velocity and power through gear change. Trac bars, I just learned this myself, are suspension mods to prevent tire spin.

The IAT adjuster,,,(and someone correct me if I'm wrong here) Makes the PCM see colder(or hotter) air coming into your engine than what really is. Gives your truck that getty-up it has when you first fire it up in the mornings. They say the best setting is about 20 degrees colder than actual outside air.
Traction bars (I just installed mine 2 days ago) mount onto your leaf springs and kinda stradle over your axel in back. They help to keep the spring from twisting under torque, and causing wheel. It greatly reduced wheel spin on mine when I punch it from a stand still. Great mod. Looks good, and only $29 from like AutoZone/Pepboys. (Lakewood Traction bars)
Matter a fact my intake tube just got here from 360airintakez.com All cast aluminum,, and I'll be slapping it on this evening. I'll run the G-tech this weekend,, and go to the real Dyno later to see what kinda gains I got from it.

let me know how the intake works! im anxious to hear about it.

thanks for the reply's fellas, i appreciate it.

Something else i wanted to ask, i have noticed in a lot of the posts that the 4.7 seems to be a sensitive engine (in regards to accepting modifications), but some people seem to be having success. for those with success, what seems to work the best?
