Subject: 2 questions,Nitrous and Fans. IP: Logged
Message: My first question is if I use a nitrous wet system,How can I be sure that I'll get enough fuel to the nozzel if I just tap off the fuel line? I realize that we only run at 45 psi, will I be able to get enough pressure AND volume for a 100hp shot? The Nitrous Express system uses a "T" fitting that presumeably goes somewhere in the fuel line.At Jegs I saw some 1 gallon "nitrous enrichment" fuel tanks.Would it be wise to use one of these with a high pressure fuel pump just for the nitrous? The pump could be wired to run only when you turn on the nitrous toggle switch.
My second question is if you wire an aftermarket electric fan and you have a 180 degree thermostat, what should the turn-on and turn-off temps be, and where can I plumb a thermostatic switch into the cooling system?
Thanks,
Dave

Message: Dave, I dunno about the nitrous, but do yourself a favor and only use the Black Magic #150 by Flex-a-Lite, it is the only one that can cool our 5.2, also, the thermostat is built in and adjustable. I have mine set at about 180, (but I am going to raise that a bit).
I tried several other fans, NONE compare to the Black Magic.
Good luck,
