Message: i have had problems with my 99 dak 5.2 auto since i bought it. (32,000 miles currently) the exhaust smells like rotten eggs.
not all the time, but after it warms up and reaches operating temp. i have no mods. the dealers have replaced the cat. 4 times. reprogramed my computer 2 times. with no success.
at times the smell can be quite overcoming. the o2 sensors were checked and are working at spec.
does anyone know what is causing this so i can get this fixed before my warantee is up in dec.
any help would be apreciated

Message: It is either a: high sulfur fuel or b: running pig rich (which should cause the cat to glow). Changing the cat won't help unless the one they put on is designed for sulfur dioxide reduction. These were available years ago but not sure about today. If it is consistent try another dealer.
