Subject: What the hell is it .........? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 99 R/T and have removed the stock air box and replaced it with a custom intake. Underneath where the airbox used to be is some type of sensor. It connects to the airbox, take some sort of readings, but it isnt a vacuum line. It has wires coming out of each end. Does anyone know what the hell this is? Will it hurt if I leave it open (unfiltered air)? If so, how can I filter it? Id appreciate any help ........

Message: Hmm I have a 99 dak R/T CC and removed the whole airbox assembly w/o seeing any wires. If you bought it used the owner may have moved the IAT sensor to the box so that the computer would advance the timing and run with the cooler air.
