Message: I put a 318 TB off a 96 om my 01 3.9 and it went freaken nuts. I think it my be the idle adj. screw not set for the 3.9. I reset the computor and let it idle never went below 1200rps; no gas on start. I didn't check the A/C kicker. Any thoughts. Its free and I don't want to buy one. I'll should have a Jet chip II on Friday. I took it back off again.

Message: Replace the gasket between the TB and the intake manifold. If there's a leak, it will idle @ 1100 to 1200 rpm.
Mine did this.

Message: The blade adjustment screw is the same for the 3.9/5.2/5.9L. It doesn't control idle...the IAC Solenoid does that job.
Check your TB gasket and make sure the IAC Solenoid (and port) are clean.

Message: I second the previous posts. When I ported my TB, I actually put the gasket on backwards for some reason (facing the wrong way). I had the exact same problem you are describing. If you did not install a new gasket, now is the time to do that anyways. They are only 2 bucks from dodge (for a piece of fiber paper that cost them 1 cent to make. I guess we are paying for gasket technology or something).
