I want to know if straight dual exhaust will cause a power loss? not true duals, y pipe instead of the muffler. i am experimenting with exhaust and i need ideas. I had a flowtech after cat muffler that sounded good but could not tell a big difference in power. (i only had the truck for 2 days when installed) the truck now has just over 7k miles on it and i took the muffler off and replaced it ith the y pipe. No noticeable gain or loss. Anyone else have any experience with the straight pipe? Also mytruck is a 4.7 with a 5 spd. I want to know how to get the "rumble" when down shifting. I dont want the annoying poping sound. The truck does it good in 1st gear and when i tap the gas in any other gear but only for a second. This may sound complicated to explain but im sure im not the only one wanting this. also i am working on the homemade intake with some custom bent stainless.
will that have an affect on the sound? sorry for
all the questions but i have to know and this looks like the place to come for advise. Please help.

Oh yeah anyone come with an answer to the "stink"
problem from the vents?
