Steve, I designed and either manufactured or had manufactured everything I needed for the install. The manifold was produced by cnc machining the individual parts and then welding them together. The oil return spacer block was CNC machined also. All of the piping and exhaust tubing was cut and fitted together from U-bends that can be purchased from many different places. The turbo, wastegate, heat shielding, fuel pump, spark plugs, filters, pop-off valve, FMU, water injection unit, hoses, fittings, gauges, gauge pillar mount and all necessary bolts and wiring/connectors were purchased from many different sources. I would rather not get into the cost associated with this but I will tell you that it was a huge undertaking that required a bunch of planning and forethought. It also required a vast array of tools to accomplish all of this fabrication. There is also a substantial risk associated with this project. With the turbo, it is very easy to overboost the engine or cause detonation. Either could be fatal for the engine. Right now, I'm in the tuning stage. I have the fuel system over-rich and the boost dialed back. I am also supplying too much water with the water injection. I will trim both of these (fuel/water) back until I am satisfied with how it runs. From there I can think about trying to make it go faster.

Right now, I have as much boost dialed out of the system as I can with this configuration. That puts it at 8 lbs. That is roughly a 50% increase in horsepower.

thanks, so it sounds like it wasnt a weekend project. also is yours intercooled? whered you mount the intercooler? did you buy the turbo and intercooler new or used? i was thinking of going used from e-bay, alot of eclipses take of there stock turbo for bigger ones, so thatd be perfect for my size engine. how big of an performance increase do you think it gave you? like how many seconds off your 1/4 mile time? thanks again, i hope you wouldnt mind if i call on you again in the future when my project gets going.
later
steve
