Message: not by much, depending on driver. r/t has 3.92 rear, quad has 3.55, otherwise the same except for wieght. my quad has all the basic bolt-ons, and runs side by side with stock r/t's. you should see thier faces at the next light as we are stopping for another red.

Message: All you've got to say is R/T and every one who owns will say yeah. Kinda like a SS Camaro owner vs a 5.7 Camaro owner. Or a Mustang GT owner vs a Mustang 4.7 owner. Hell thank GOD these people can buy a prebuilt chip on their shoulder because they can't see past the fact a V8 S-10 could distroy a Corvette because they can't sign and drive it off the show room floor... Hey guys how does the Neon R/T do against a Neon??????? Did any one know that many LX Mustangs could eat a GT's lunch....definately not!!!

Message: Hmm mustang 4.7 is that like a big bore 4.6?? I bet you drive a 4.7 dakota don't you? I saw a 5.9 quad cab run consistant 16.0's last night at the track, mabey he may have ben able to pull off a high 15, but I wouldn't say it would hang with a regular cab RT or many CC rt's. I guess it all comes down to the driver/truck because I know some people who run high 15's in CC and regular cab Rt's on a consistant basis. Now this is only a few select people, but they are drivers none the less. On another note I saw a s-10 Xtreme run a 20.2 sec 1/4 mile. I hope it was a 4 banger but I think it was a 4.3!

Message: An R/T, whether RC or CC, weighs less. If they have the same drive train (5.9, 3.92, etc.) then the R/T wins on power to weight ratio. It's as simple as that. Notice that ram59d60's quad is modified in order to run with R/T's. This discussion didn't ask about modified Quads vs. stock R/Ts.
I didn't buy my Quad to run as fast as ____. I bought it because it meets my needs better than its competition. [I have the SS for that ;)]
As for the analogy with Camaro SS, Mustangs, etc. It makes no sense because it mixes stock with modified also. Show me a stock V8 S10. One can find a modified anything that will whip stock. Heck I saw an article a while ago about a caravan running low 9's.
