I am wondering If anyone out there has made the swap from v6 to va in a pre 90 dakota. I've heard that there is a kit for the swap, but I have not been able to find out where I can get it. If anyone has any insight into my dillemma please post a reply.

my father and i have put a 360 into an 88 dakota 2wd 2.2 dakota. We used a stock 3.9 radiator and a 727 tranny, 8 3/4 w/posi and 3.91's. We had the mounts fabricated by a chassis shop and used the stock tranny mount i believe from the 4cyl and cross member too. We used headers out of summit, the shorties for a 92-96 dakota and plugged the 02 sensor. sorry this isnt for a 4wd but if any more ?s i can try to help!

I am looking for someone who has already completed the engine swap. I was wanting to know what year engine would work best without to many complications. would I have to change eninge, transmission, and transfer case all at the same time, or would I possibly be able to bolt a 318 to my v-6 transmission. Any help would be greatly welcomed.
