More power to your Dakota
It wasn’t that long ago when manufacturers simply sold and fixed their vehicles. Seldom, if ever, did they offer upgrades for them. That was left to the aftermarket. Today, manufacturers will be the first to admit they’ve been missing out on a largely untapped market. An untapped mainstream market, that is. Take Chrysler for example. Whereas past efforts had been directed at ‘fringe’ performance gearheads, today the focus is on offering upgrades for everyday street vehicles. Aside from providing power and handling enhancers for Neons, Vipers and Jeeps, Dodge can give newer-generation Dakota trucks substantial help . . . for towing, hauling . . . or to help you exercise your right foot. Part of the challenge of performing any upgrade is knowing what works and what doesn’t. So, who better to offer performance upgrades than the company that built the vehicle in the first place? To that end, Mopar Performance offers a performance exhaust system (headers), camshaft, intake plumbing and a computer that can push the 245-horsepower 5.9-litre V8 to the 300-horsepower mark, while adding significant torque and tire-chirping appeal. To find out more about Mopar Performance’s hot parts for Dakotas, visit your local Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer or just log onto www.mopar.com.

That'd be great, if those *censored* at DC/Dodge/Mopar would actually make anything worthwhile (especially the PCM - hint hint - tell the EPA to shove it or else unlock that proprietary 'force you to buy different parts for more money' code so the 2k computer will run the 2k1-2 engines)
