Message: It "tricks" the computer by telling it that the intake air temp is lower, which then adjusts the fuel mixture richer for more power. Also adjusts the timing slightly.Dyno has shown around an extra 10 rearwheel horsepower! Can mount the small box under your dash, or some have mounted it in the glovebox. Check with SpeedTweaks for more info,he is an excellant source for more info, and their shipping/customer support is the BEST!!!

Message: dont bother with one.. just put the Iat into your air intake tube. it reads a whole lot cooler in there and bumps hp. besides its free..

Message: Where is the lat located SuperDak? And how could I mount it to the air intake tube if i have upgraded to an air raid kit and K&N filter? The air raid uses a metal housing.
Thanks,
R.

Don't bother? Sure...stuffing the IAT Sensor into the intake tube does work, but will only cool to about 95-92 degrees in most cases. We went this route three years ago. (The IAT Adjuster can set the temp from 190 degrees to 16 degrees...and makes best power in the 70-30 degree range) ;)
The IAT Sensor is located on the #2 Intake Runner (passenger-side). It uas two wires (BLK/BLUE and BLK/RED) and it looks like a big brass plug in the intake manifold. Move it to about 6" from the throttle body (in the intake tube). You'll need to drill a 1/2 hole in the intake tube and you'll also need a 1/4" NPT Pipe Plug to seal up the hole in the manifold.
It's an easy mod.

Message: I have had the adjuster installed for a couple of months now and twice now the 'check engine' light has come on. I don't know why because I'm not switching the adjuster off/on while running. I have to reset computer when this happens. Any ideas why this is happening? Could changing the setting on the iat adjuster knob too frequently cause the computer to think there is a problem w/the iat sensor and hence trip the 'check engine' light?????

Message: I have had the same issue. It comes up with the P0111 error code. Reset the PCM and everything is fine for another month. I hardly ever change my setting on it so it shouldn't be that.
