Subject: Any Gains with MSDamp on 4.7l? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 4.7l auto, limited slip, 3.92 with Airaid filter, poweraid TB spacer, Gibson dual exhaust, Jet chip.
Next is either the Headers@$400 or MSD@$400.
I don't know which is worth more power?
Seems most say that headers suck for 4.7l
Nobody says anything about MSD for 4.7l, how come?

Message: I think it will be more than 400 for the MSD. I think you have to buy two sets or something for all 8 cylinders. That seems to be what I remembered hearing. I do have some input on it though that I got back from MSD. It is as follows;Sir
We currently offer the MSD DIS4 PN# 6215 for your application. We do not sell direct, so we do not have retail pricing. We recommend that you contact your local speed shop or MSD supplier to get pricing. We have a list of dealers on our web page that will help you find a dealer in your area. It would be cheaper if you get pricing and availability through an MSD Dealer our prices are 30 to 40% higher, the following is the website address for the list of dealers that you can contact for pricing. www.msdignition.com
THANK YOU
MSD TECH.
Hope this helps.

Message: The MSD-7020 Stacker Igintion is for up to 8 cylinders and I was told by MSD that it would work on the 4.7 Dakota. Summit Racing has it for $368.39. I don't know about performance gains. I would like to know myself because I am looking at getting one.
