Subject: Hypertech and the 4.7L IP: Logged
Message: Hi all
I just spoke to the good folks at Hypertech today, http://www.hypertech-inc.com/ . They indicated there was not enough interest in a Power Programmer for the 4.7L engine for them to produce the product. They said nobody is interested in performance enhancements for this engine. I told them they might be in error and should reconsider their position.
Common, let's gang up on them and start calling them and sending emails requesting they offer this product. Who know, we might get them to do it.
Please call Hypertech Sales/Tech at (901)382-8888
and
email them at techsupport@hypertech-inc.com

Unless you have something that's made by GM or Ford, they don't even want to talk to you.
It's only been that way since the beginning of time!

I've sent 2 e-mails and will keep sending them.
I was reading ASE web site last night and there custom flash is not CARB approved. This could be a
problem when getting a smog cert in Cali.

Message: Will that be for Supercharged engines only? I went to their website and found no reference to a chip for the 4.7L

Message: Patrick, I have a supercharger brochure coming in the mail & I'll let you know if the kit includes an optimizer chip. I beleive it will as the early s/c'd versions had trouble with a lean out condition & were supposedly resolved using the Optimizer I. Back then the chip was extra $ though.

Message: Good work craig, I think most of us would prefer to be able to reprogram our Dak's computer ourselves especially if we can improve shift points. A big advantage is you can save the stock configuration & reprogram it when you take in your Dak for inspections etc.
