Message: i'm a newbie considering the split rear exhaust system for my 2001 qc, can anyone give me a brief crash course on the whole process, from taking off the old one to the end of installing the new one? thanks

Message: Check out my web site. I did a write up on installing my single 3" Flowmaster cat back on my 4.7. It's not a dual system but the basic should be the same.

Message: My advice is to have a good muffler shop install your system.
I bought a 3" single side exhaust Gibson and had it professionally installed for only $60.00. This included welding all joints and fabrication of a single pipe from the cat to the muffler. The welded seams will add years to the life of your system and keeps it vibration/rattle free.
I like my Gibson system. Not too loud. However it will sound off when you punch it. I have a 5.9L quad and it does have some inside resonance.
