Message: Well, I just got back after two weeks of vacation. Had trouble shifting my dakota after getting used to driving the 4 bangers in europe(1.8 is a monster engine there). While I was there I finally got fed up with k&n waiting for them to come up with the fipk for the 4.7 so I think I'm just going to go all the way and get a kenne bell sc for my 4.7 4x4. I'm going to get it installed by my dc dealer so I don't void the warranty. Anything I should get done before i supercharge it? Only thing i have so far is jba headers. I'd like to hear what people with the kenne bell think of it. Also, I guess the H.O. isn't a rumor anymore. How does dodge squeeze the extra power out the 4.7 motor and is there any way I can do the same thing to my truck? Thanks in advance.

Message: Hey fot80 I noticed you said your going to have your dc dealer install your supercharger, whats a dc dealer? is it as simple as a dodge chrysler dealer I hear everybody talk about having their dc dealer install stuff but I'm not sure what dc actually stands for.
My lease will be up next summer on my s10 pos extreme and I thought about it and for almost the same price of a nice 4x4 s10 or ranger you can get a 4x4 dakota, bigger truck w/ a V-8 umm that's a hard desision. By the time I'm in the market for a Dakota maybe the other guys like paxton, vortec, etc, will have a supercharger, one more question fot80, if paxton for example made a supercharger in the future, could my dc dealer install it for me so it dosen't void the warranty?
thanks

Message: First of all, if I were to get a K/B sc for my dakota there would be no way in hell i would have the dodge dealership install it. 2nd, I dont think DC even offers installs of aftermarket performance goodies like SC's. I would rather take my chances and install it myself.

Message: Thanks CW, go figure, I worked at a Chrysler dealer too and i still look at them as Chrysler not Daimler Chrysler.
