Right now I have a 98 Sport w/ a V6 5-speed! I want to either trade it in for an R/T or do a motor swap for a V8. Which would be easier/cheaper?

Well the cheapest is to just trade in for an R/T but the R/T wasn't really built for speed, just DC way to boost sales. The best and cheapest for speed is either tweak the V6 or get the cash and buy a big block crate and shove her under the hood. I think that will run you about $15,000 w/ install.
