Message: I have a '92 Dakota 4x4 with the 3.9 and 5 speed manual. I want to swap in a 318 or 360. Will either of these work with the trans already in the truck? What other modifications would have to be made?

Message: Not sure on the tranny but all your A/C components and what not are supposed to work. You'll need a PCM and wire harness for the V8, engine mounts, you'll have to remake or replace a few things. It's not supposed to be much but someone said it was more than you would expect. For all the money you would spend, if you only want 250hp, buy a supercharger and all the necessary goodies. If you'll want 300+ eventually, then do the swap. I checked on a swap and the work, money involved, hassle etc wasn't worth it to me!

Message: Hmm well since your diick only takes up about 1\16 of the pipe you can stick with the six.
