Message: I plan to do a 2"/3" lowering on my 99 4x2 SLT. I have the factory 15" rims with 235/75-15 tires all around (and factory flares). It looks to me like 2" dropped spindles won't work unless I space the rims out (the upper ball joint might hit the tire sidewall). I think it is best to go with the 2" lowered arms. I don't like the idea of shorter front springs. Any help out there? In back I plan to use the lowered hangers setup, but I guess that means new shocks too.

Message: I have a 4x2 sport with 235/75R15s and w/o factory flares. I did the A arms and springs for a 4" front and a hangers and shackle mounts for about 5" in the rear. Right now, my right side ball joint rubs the wheel at full lock. I plan on getting atleast 17" wheels, which should clear up this problem.
A 2" lowering kit does nothing for a Dakota. I did that first and it didn't look good, at all.

Message: andy, you will have to go with the A-arm, because there is no company that makes a spindle for the 97-01 daks. if there was it would be on my truck.
I agree with josh, if you are going to drop it, DROP IT.
