Message: After a long long wait, I finally got it today. Just came in from the garage about an hour ago. All the lines are run, solenoids mounted, bottle mounted and nozzle installed in my Z-tube. Will get the bottle filled tomorrow and finish up the install, wiring and switches are all that is left. Will start with the 50hp shot for a couple of weeks or so, and move up to the 75hp after that. I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight!! What time does the filling station open?!

Message: Will be finishing it up today if the wife will leave me alone long enough. Was wondering why a SC is 'safer' than NOS? Won't increased cylinder pressure caused by either SC or NOS put the same stress on the pistons?

Message: Ok it's done!! Real easy to install, the hardest part was running the line under the truck and the minor wiring, and making a mount for the micro-switch. Right now I have the 50 hp jets in, and you can tell when it comes on the NOS. You can feel it but it's not like it is ripping the seat off the mounts, at least with the 50 hp. Will leave it there for abit, then will try the 75hp jets later.

Message: Ok, more info: weighed the truck and about died,4600lbs with out me! It is a 2001 club cab 4.7 auto 4x4 loaded plus a front safari light bar and a Mopar "combo light bar/bedrail" all with lights(6 of'em).
Will be going to the track tomorrow to see what the NOS does for it. Have run it before with the only mods being a flowmaster muffler and Z-tube. It ran high 16.7's with best of 16.743 at 80.06 mph.

Message: I am very interested also. I hope you don't experience any problems. Did you have to do any adjustment on timing? If so, what and how much?
Remember, take it slow and easy, alot of us are depending on you! Please update every "problem" you run into.

Message: Ok here are the results. Did two runs without the juice and dropped to 17.108 and 17.007 at 77mph. I dropped from a best of 16.74. Believe the drop is from the new light bar above the roof with 4 lights on it, maybe some extra weight too. Ok, with the juice on (100hp) I did three runs,15.566,15.581, and 15.350. MPH went to 88.23,88.27,and 88.89. So not to bad I feel. The best run was from not hitting the NOS until I was out about 10 feet and did get some wheelspin, but not bad. Sure with some more 'practice' hope I could hit 15 flat, have only done 8 runs with it so far......ROOKIE!! But tons of fun.

Message: mad duc,
Have you considered doing some sort of inspection to your pistons after an "x" number of runs? I am interested to hear what the nos does to the stock pistons. Sorry to sound like I am using you as a guinea pig, but I guess I am in a way! Just want all the input before I do the same with my '00 reg. cab, 2wd, 4.7L, 5spd., 3.90 gears.

Message: Carey, had not thought about it, but I doubt that I will tear it down to inspect them. Maybe pull the plugs and use a mechanics scope to look down in the chamber. Unless some good aftermarket pistons become available,Bernd?!
