I am the recent proud owner of a 99'Dak Club Cab Sport 5sp. 3.9 4x4 that is bone stock with 34000 miles. I commute through Denver traffic everyday from Castle Rock to downtown.(30 miles each way) So needless to say I am not sure that you can call it highway driving due to the hellacious stop and go traffic. Anyway to my surprise I am getting on average no less than 21mpg and I have seen as high as 24 or 25 mpg for a whole tank. I have not seen anyone make mention that they get this high of mileage? Is this normal? The truck does ping some but seems to do pretty well on mid-grade gas. I drive smooth but relatvely fast and pull most of the way through the gears, so it is not that I pussyfoot around in it either??!!:)
