I have a 2000 model 4.7L Quad Cab that I am needing to modify before a trip to Mexico. I don't like the idea of being limited to 95 mph, especially if I am being chased by the "bad guys" in Mexico.

If it were just me taking the trip, I wouldn't worry as much, but since it is only my girlfriend and I going to Mexico City, I want every possible advantage against any corrupt cops or bandits, etc.

Any ideas on increasing my power, in a safe way? What about a chip? Are there major mods that I would have to make to a stock 4.7? What about the radiator? Suspension? Air filter?

Is there a site where I can go and do all my research in one place?

Thanks,

Options.

Don't GO!

Get a license to pack a glock .45 or something.

Buy some of those tires that you can drive on without any air.

Don't take your GF.

Don't Go.

If your needing to go over 95MPH, they are most likely going to have something that will outrun a truck in the first place. Take a few boxes of nail or something :) And travelers checks :)

Don't take any firearms or ammunition into Mexico unless you are trying to get locked up for the rest of your life you cannot legally have either without a letter from the Mexican Government authorizing it!If you are that scared I would just stay at home.
