Message: Yes this part is very effective because It spins the incomming air which creates better combustion and air to fuel ratio. Trust me I work at AirAid Intake System and we are the makers of the PowerAid. If at anytime you want to see the Dyno sheets try AirAid.com or PowerAid.com and they may have them posted or call (480)443-3333 and talk to a tech.I think that they make 10-12lbs of torque and 10hp. I the Intake Made over 10rwhp on the Dyno though. I put the Intake and Spacer on my pops dakota and it kicked ass. check it out. any ?'s write back. Later Bailey

Message: I think the general consensus on this web site it that these are a gimmick. Several guys on this site have the dyno sheets to prove it.

Yup, crap. I Dyno and Track tested the Powerjunk spacer and it doesn't work. Spacers work great for Carbureted and TBI systems, but not MPI...especially on our MPI systems. The factory manifolds have a restriction that defeats the whole purpose of the spacer.
On those figures, 10RWHP is 12-15HP at the crank (taking driveline loss into consideration). I highly doubt those figures for the spacer.
Several people that I know have tested them as well (3.9/5.2/5.9L) and they don't work. Those figures that they put up are "Up to xxHP" and there's a neat marketing trick behind those numbers as well. You take the test vehicle with the highest gains from your product and then set the claim of "Up to xxHP".

Last key point on this:
"Yes this part is very effective because It spins the incoming air which creates better combustion and air to fuel ratio."
One problem with that theory...there is no Air/Fuel ratio in the intake manifold. It's a dry manifold. The fuel is introduced in the intake runner right before the head. By the time the (alleged) swirled air hits the runner, it has already made 2 turns in the manifold. Also, the manifold plenum is rather large...no chance for the air to keep swirling. (So much for the "Helix Bore" process.)
Again, they're garbage. Save the $90 and get a modified Throttle Body. (Notice on their website that there's NO Dodge Dyno sheet.)
** These spacers could be (in theory) a decent modification on a single place intake with unobstructed runners. (M1-MPI) But, that would be application specific. **

Update: Email sent to PowerAid...
"Please email me the Dodge Dyno sheets, that you have, on the HP gains for the Poweraid Spacer. I have personally tested the spacer on my truck (with and without the Supercharger) and it did not show any gains in HP (local Dyno test), no gains in MPG, and no gains at the track.
My concerns with the 10-12HP claims from Poweraid is rather amusing. The factory intake manifolds have a restriction at the plenum divider and the air must make two turns before entering the combustion chamber. How do you keep the "Helix" effect working on a 90 degree turn and then on a 45 degree turn?"

Message: I just got done changing the throttle body with one from The Fastman on my 2000 4.7. There is NO WAY that a spacer will make any difference. The air *may* spiral, but it will flatten out before it hits the back of the intake.
I need to do a new post on all of this. Read up...

Message: well the thing is alone it wont do much cause if you get more air it has to be able to escape just as fast as it comes in so if you dont change your exhaust with it as well it wont do much except maybe improve throttle responce but ya it would work best i think with a exhaust upgrade but either way dont expect the world from them but i believe it would work if you combine with a better exhaust but in the end if you realy wanna know just try it for yourself and find out statistics only go so far just do it
