I'm having trouble locating a ring and pinion gear set for my 1988 V6 Dakota 5 speed transmition the ratio is 2.94. What other gear ratios can I use with out causing damage to my front end??????

I was testing some gear lubes and by accident I found that the synthetics hold more air in suspension than do the conventionals. I have not noticed it with the low viscosity motor oils. I will not use synthetic gear oil yet. Air dosen't lubricate.
