I've got a 02 sport with the 4.7. I put a superchip on it a couple months ago and put it in the fuel saver mode hoping to get better gas mileage out of the truck but it seems to have dropped 1-2 mpg. The first tank it seemed to improve but since then it's been terrible. I've tried different gas stations thinking maybe it was the gas with no improvement. You might be thinking I'm just driving it harder but I'm trying to baby it just to see what the best mileage I can get is. But it's worse than before I had the chip. Do I need to reset the pcm or something after flashing for this to work correctly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has it gotten much colder lately than when you installed it? That and the winter gas blend will have something to do with the mileage drop.

It's gotten colder but only recently. I got the chip in september and it was ok until the end of the month I'd guess, but after that it's been worse than before. I live in Atlanta to give you an idea of the temperature.
