Message: I've never done it but don't think it would be worth it much less recommended. Programmer is much more versatile than just a chip for not much more money.

Message: I'm not sure what it would do to the PCM but I'd say at the very least you would have to run 93 octane to keep it from pinging if it would run at all. Personally, I think the programmer is the way to go. you usually get 3 different settings and you can also read DTC's and reset them. With the chip you can't do that.

Message: I had just a Jet chip installed in my '06 4.7L and noticed a considerable gain in hp and torque. I don't know about doing both a chip and programmer, though.
