Subject: spark plug recommendations anyone?

Message:
I have an 06 with the 4.7 and been having issues with the 3rd cylinder misfiring about every 10,000 miles. A guy from autozone who aparantly owns his owns garage asked what kind of plugs i'm running. I told him im pretty sure they are bosch platinums. He mentioned Boschs are good for europeans, not good for domestic. Autolites, Champions, Delco's.... all three makes in copper or iridium are recommended for the dakota. Any body have similar misfiring issues possibly due to running bosch platinums?
Thinking about switching to coppers/other brand but why would Firestone install plugs not recommended? just curious

Jason gave you a good choice, NGK makes some good plugs. I am not too familiar with the 4.7's but, If you can get V-power plugs for that motor I think you would be happy.

Had my Bosch platinum plugs replaced with Mopar plugs, besides the misfires the truck had a rough idle often...now the rough idle is gone.

IIRC Dodge says not to use platinum plugs with coil on plug systems because of the higher reistance of the plugs causes coils to go bad.

Smaller parameter you should be good with. From what I read and hear you're a back door man.

Who the hell is this bucket kid?
There should be a age limit on this site, 18 or older. I'm getting tired of seeing the 12 and 13 year olds play.

Been on this site reading and following for 2 years
bucket I've seen you help no one or post anything
constructive on this site You do however post plenty
of name calling and random acts of foolishness
If you really think that above mention was off the
mark you should get your head checked
and at 12 or 13 he was giving you far too much
credit
