Hey guys, im starting a winter sport truck project. Was originaly planing to do a ranger 5.0 coverversion because i work at a ford dealer have axcess to parts, info, tuning, ect. However i already own a 02 dakota 4.7 reg cab 2wd. i want to be around the 300 engine hp area (non supercharged) i know i can acomplish this easily with a 5.0 ford. My question is can get a 4.7 in that area, what parts would i need and is it cost effective. I would prefer anwsers with dyno experience to back it up, and please no ford-dodge arguments just looking for info.

Swap in the new HO engine-300hp. You will need a harness to do it. If you find a shop that makes it, let us know-many of us are getting some miles on our 01 and 02s and like the idea of an upgrade swap. But unlike ford and chevy hotrodders- its hard to find dodge poeple working on swap harnesses for the new engines-sad.
